Joe Willie is one half of 104.1 The Wave’s morning show.  He and his co-host (real life wife), Robbie Sue, are two of Coastal Georgia’s most recognized media personalities and the 2019 Georgia Association of Broadcasters winner for “Best On-Air Personalities.” Joe is a native of the Golden Isles and is a first generation American from Portuguese immigrants.  He is very active in the community by serving with several civic groups and organizations.  Joe Willie has been doing morning radio in the market since his return in 1994.  Prior to that he had been on what he calls his radio world tour with stops doing mornings in Augusta, Ga., Columbus, Ohio and Stockton/Modesto, California.  He started his showbiz career by entertaining at family gatherings as a child and using a bathroom plunger as his “microphone.”  After that it was on stage as a stand-up comic and then into radio.  Joe Willie enjoys living near the beach and is known as the only morning show host wearing white shrimp boots.

Robbie Sue is one of Coastal Georgia’s most recognized media personalities.  She and her husband, Joe Willie, host the Golden Isles’ Hometown Morning show weekdays from 6 am till 10 am on 104.1 the Wave.  Robbie Sue is most popular for her “telling it like it is” attitude and also has a large following on social media through her daily Facebook posts.  In addition to her on air interaction with listeners she also has great interaction with advertisers and is consistently one of the top billers for all three of Golden Isles Broadcasting’s station, 104.1 The Wave, Magic 105.9, and 92.7 SSI.
